1. What is the floor of the tunnel made out of?Walking on steel beams , sure-footed laborers reinforce walls and floor with a cage like steel grid , then a thick layer of poured concrete seals the cut and forms the tunnels "mud slab " floor .
2.What to construction workers do at surface level in order to prepare the city at surface level for the Metro Red Lin's midtown route?They reinforce foundations of buildings along the route and secure electric, gas ,water ,and telephone line that run beneath the street.
3. What is the name of the temporary road called that is created for street traffic to use during the cut and cover station construction? What are these roads made out of and why?A temporary road called decking is build over the torn-up street .Steel beams that's span the cuts width are set down, set of attached wooden beams and place between them , makes stronger solid surface to be quickly converted
4. On Pages 30-31 there are is a model of the train station, do you like it? What would you change about this station model? I guess i like the station model , It looks a little to plain and not enough space to more people ,so make it bigger .
5. What is the "Pink Lady"? A flatbed truck , brings materials and fixtures to the workers .
